at the EASD Annual Meeting 2024
in Madrid!

We are excited to announce that Sudoscan will have a booth at the 60th Annual Meeting for The European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD)! This significant event, known as one of the biggest and most important diabetes conferences in the world, will be held in Madrid, Spain, from the 9th to the 13th of September, attracting thousands of participants from the healthcare community worldwide.

Where Experts Come Together

The EASD is one of the largest networks of diabetologists, facilitating the crucial research and study of diabetes and enabling a valuable exchange of knowledge and expertise.

Drawing together world renowned experts specialising in the field of diabetic medicine, this annual meeting allows its members and invitees the chance to meet together in one place for several days of talks, lectures and demonstrations. They will cover the very latest innovations and research. It creates a valuable opportunity for doctors and health care professionals to network, focused on the same goal: the treatment and care of patients with diabetes.

The Event Program

The meeting will cover all aspects of diabetic medicine, including recent scientific findings and new approaches to diabetes care.

Key sessions will include:

  • Latest research: Over 1,000 research papers will be used to present new findings in diabetes care, including important late-breaking studies.
  • Lectures and discussions: Attendees will hear from leading experts during key lectures and participate in engaging debates that encourage new ideas.
  • Exhibitor presentations: You will be able to see exhibitor presentations, such as our own Sudoscan device from Impeto Medical.
  • Networking opportunities: In line with the ethos of the EASD, you will also have ample time between demonstrations and lectures to meet and network with your peers in the field. The EASD Annual Meeting allows healthcare professionals to connect and collaborate globally.

Participants can join in person in Madrid or online, gaining access to all sessions and educational workshops for professionals at every career stage.

Some examples of talks include:

  • Delivering Diabetes Care to Those on the Margins of Society
  • Global Concepts and Mechanisms for Preventing Type 2 Diabetes
  • Symposium: “Remote Measurements”: Impact for diabetes management and research.
  • …and many more. We invite you to consult the entire program here.

Complications from diabetes, especially peripheral and autonomic neuropathies, are important public health issues. The upcoming talks, such as “Neuropathies in diabetes” and “Complications of diabetes: Peripheral and autonomic neuropathies,” will provide key insights into these conditions. Additionally, the session on the role of artificial intelligence in managing diabetic complications will highlight the need to include these new methods in clinical practice. New ways to predict microvascular complications and discussions on neuroendocrine control of appetite and glucose metabolism will show promising strategies for improving care for at-risk patients. It is vital for medical professionals to join these discussions to enhance their knowledge and adapt their care to new technological advancements.

An exciting feature of this year’s meeting is the presentation of late-breaking research findings that offer fresh insights into diabetes treatment and management strategies. Participants can expect to learn about innovative studies that have significant implications for clinical practice.
